CountyWeb - CountyWeb is the easier way to find businesses both locally and nationally. Countyweb is the longest established online UK Business Directory and has been helping you find businesses since 1996 with more than 2.4 million businesses UK wide.

Dots&Coms - A searchable UK web directory that can also provide local results for dozens of areas. Add your site via advertise, not add site.

Google UK - Google is perhaps the worlds largest and most respected search site. Google has over 8 billion sites listed. Although Google offers a free listing using a submit page, Google will find you sooner or later anyway. The best way to get listed in Google is to get some incoming links.

Great British Pages - A searchable directory that also allows you to seperate results by county. Paid listings are also available for those who want to appear in a better position.

I-Find - Currently a very small searchable directory with under 1000 sites listed.

LifeStyle - Since 1995, Lifestyle UK has offered information on a range of interests and sites. Our directory holds over 20,000 hand-reviewed websites carefully sorted into over 200 different subject classifications. Free listings will be added with 120 days, 90 days with a return link. Faster paid listings are available.

Listings UK - A searchable directory that allows listing to be segregated by countries in the UK. Listings UK has just over 100,000 sites in it's database.

Local UK - Local is the UK's leading online local business and services directory that allows internet users to search for products and services in their local area.

MSN Search - One of the giants up there with Google. MSN results are crawler based, so although you can submit for free, getting some incoming links will also ensure you'll end up in MSN's database

Splut - Splut is a popular UK search service thats easy to use, and supplies some good results. All submissions are manually approved.

Spot Jockey - SpotJockey is a directory and search engine for the UK. They list UK websites under over 3000 categories.

The Engine Rooms - The Engine Rooms collects it's information via crawler, but they manually vet all sites! The result is a small searchable directory that returns great results! Commercial sites have to pay to be listed, but non-commercial sites can be listed for free.

The Search Brain - A small searchable directory with a few thousand listings.

ThomWeb - Thomson Directories began operating in 1980 and quickly established itself as the leading Local directory publisher in the UK. Today, Thomson Directories also produces a variety of online and new media products and services for businesses, using its regularly updated database of 2.2 million listings.

UKLinks.org - A directory of UK websites and provides visitors with access to a large variety of UK websites. This site is unable to add requests at present, but sites submitted will be listed at a later date.

UK Index - UKIndex is a searchable directory with tens (if not hundreds) of thousands of sites in it's database.

UK Pages - UK pages is a searchable directory with approx 100,000 listings. The sites listed are categorised by area, and are manually approved. Paid inclusion also available, with the top package costing just £35 per year.

UK Searcher - UKSearcher is a search engine which enables users to view the Internet from a UK perspective and find information relevant to their geographic location.

U Search It - A Web Based Business Directory designed to allow users to find information on Product and Service Providers at the touch of a button. It is a quick, easy to use and reliable method to locate Industry Providers of products and services, and companies that you can rely on. Although this company offer both free and paid insertion, the free version is only free for 3 months!

Yahoo UK - Yahoo is the other giant out there with MSN and Google.
